Purchasing FAQ

Do I have to pay for shipping?

No. Our products are delivered electronically so there are no shipping or distribution costs.

Do I have to pay tax?

UK customers have to pay VAT. EC customers that supply a valid EC VAT Number will be exempted from paying VAT. All other EC customers will have to pay VAT.

Customers outside the European Community will not have to pay VAT.

Note that VAT amounts have to be displayed in GB Pounds sterling. The conversion rate used to calculate the correct amount is determined from published monthly rates of exchange on the HM Revenue & Customs website, http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/exrate/index.htm

Do I have to pay by credit card?

No, if you wish you can pay us via a purchase order. In the first instance, contact our sales team, sales@sqldbcontrol.com, and they will send you a quote. Once we receive a signed copy of that quote we will send you an invoice.

Do you accept American Express?

We do not currently process American Express cards but we hope to be offering American Express as an alternative payment method in the future. If you wish, you can pay by purchase order. See above for further details.

Do you provide site licenses?

If our existing bulk licensing products do not cover your needs please contact sales@sqldbcontrol.com to discuss your site licensing needs.

When will I receive purchased products?

When purchasing application software, once your payment has been successfully processed you will be re-directed to a download page where you can download the software. You will also receive an email confirming your order and containing invoice details and a license key. You are advised to print and retain a copy of invoice details and keep in a safe place for future reference. Your unique order reference number will be on the invoice and should be used for any enquires.

When purchasing additional licenses, once your payment has been successfully processed you will receive an email containing invoice details and the relevant license key.

We aim to process all orders within 24 hours of receipt. If after 24 hours you have not received confirmation of your order or a suitable license key please contact sales@sqldbcontrol.com.

Do you provide free updates?

Any updates to an existing version will be provided for free. So, in the case of version 1.0, any updates to 1.0 (i.e. any 1.x version) will be provided for free. New versions (e.g. version 2.0) will not be free, however we will provide discounted upgrade paths for those that have the previous version.

What is your returns policy?

Our products are availble for a free 30-day trial period to enable you to assess the suitability of the product for your needs.

If, after purchasing a product, you are not satisfied due to a problem with the product please contact support and we will try to resolve the issue for you.

If we are unable to resolve the issue and you still remain unsatisifed we will offer you a full refund within the first 30 days of the product having been purchased.

Any licenses that were purchased together with the corresponding application software will be covered under any such refund. Licenses that are purchased seperately and form part of a seperate order will not be refunded.

Refunds to products purchased more than 30 days prior will be at our sole discretion.

Is my online purchase secure?

During the purchasing process all data that is submitted for payment processing is done so using 128 bit SSL encryption.

We actively undertake measures to prevent fraud taking place on this site. As such during the transaction process you will be prompted through the use of CVV and other security measures to verify that you are the valid card holder.

Information gathered during the order process will only be used to complete your order and will only be stored if it is a necessary requirement of the order process. This information will never be shared with a third party unless it is a requirement for fulfillment of the order process.
