    Security in SQLDBC

I am looking for ways to "freeze" packages meant for deployment.

I am a DBA manager; I keep having issues about developers checking out packages prior to deployment, which raises concerns about any changes they might have made at any point in time.

Instead of spending time comparing code or undoing checkout, I would simply like to be able to freeze packages and not allow them to be checked out. How can I configure this within the security framework provided by SQLDBC? I'm on ver 2.0.

Unfortunately this isn't possible in the current build. However it sounds like a good idea and something that should be relatively easy to implement so I'll see that we add this into the next build.

I should have pointed out that you could achieve the desired effect by selecting all of the objects in the package and checking them out.

In this way no one else can edit any of the objects that you've checked out.  This will at least allow you to prevent anyone editing these objects until we can implement this functionality.
