We are happy to annouce that SQLDBControl 2.0 is now available for purchse and evaluation.

Version 2.0 can be downloaded for evaluation from www.sqldbcontrol.com/download.aspx.

Here are just some of the new features available in version 2.0.

1. Added multi-database query functionality that allows queries to be executed against multiple databases on multiple servers.
2. Added labelling, which allows databases, servers or projects to be labelled.  Subsequently, when scripting database objects, it is possible to choose a label from which to script objects.
3. Added the ability to link databases together so that checking an object in/out on one database will check it in/out on the corresponding linked databases.
4. Added functionality to apply source control changes directly to the database without the need to check an object in.  This is in effect a self-deployment action.
5. Added the ability to include scripts along with database objects when scripting a database from source control.
6. Added the ability to export the object summary list to .csv.
7. Added an option to allow sorting of query results data by column.
8. Added filtering functionality for query result sets.
9. Added Difference reports that report on the differences between an entire database/server in source control against the corresponding database on the SQL Server.
10. Added support for indexed views, which can now be imported and edited within SQLDBControl.
11. Added table support.
12. Added support for XML indexes on SQL Server 2005/2008 databases.
13. Added enhanced find options in the object search.
14. Added an option that allows COLLATE statements to be ignored during table comparisons.
15. Added collapsible groupings to the deploy status screen so that objects that generated warnings or failures are grouped together and can therefore be found quickly.
16. Added ability to archive databases as an additional option when deleting databases.
17. Added collapsible groupings to objects that appear in the summary list as part of a saved Package.
